Well done to everyone who competed in the District Athletics. Special mention needs to go to the following for their exceptional performances:
GIRLS Yr 8 (old Yr 7) Molly McCarthy, finalist in 200m, Georgia Lewis, finalist in 100m and Lilly Webster, finalist in 70m Hurdles.
Yr 9 (old Yr 8) Gabby Larkin, 3rd in 200m and Ashleigh Hunt, 1st in Shot Put.
Yr 10 (old Yr 9) Mollie Robinson, 2nd in 200m, who also managed to represent Mid-Essex in the Essex Athletic Schools Championship making the final for the 100m! Also Lucy Upton 4th, Frankie Cason 2nd in 800 m and Ellie Ray 5th.
Yr 11 (old Yr 10) Pia Grosvenor overcame her fear from breaking her arm last year in the Hurdles event to win the 80m Hurdles this year and the Triple Jump! Katie Winters 3rd in 200m, Alice Beasley 4th in 300m, Becky Thorne 3rd in Shot Put and Leona Fletcher and Shelby Kinnear making the 100m final!
BOYS Yr 8 (old Yr 7) Danny Gould 1st 100m, New District record 12.1 sec, Christopher Choun 3rd 12.8, Harry Joiner 2nd 200m. Ellis Cotter 3rd in Javelin and Hurdles. Relay team 3rd.
Yr 9 (old Yr 8) Ed Greenfield 2nd 200m and 1st in Triple Jump with new District record of 11m 56cm. Charlie Peacock 3rd in Shot Put. Jamie George 3rd 400m. Regan Harding 2nd 200m and Long Jump. Tommy Clarke 4th in Hurdles. Relay team 3rd.
Yr 10 (old Yr 9) Sam Malpass 2nd 200m and Nathan Matthews 4th. Jack Curtis 3rd 200m. Dean Ashley 3rd 1500m. Rasharn Powell 5th 400m. Tim Pretouris 1st Javelin. William Rasion 2nd High Jump. Relay team 1st!
Yr 11 (old Yr 10) Paddy Greenfield 2nd 100m and Stephen Piper 4th.Matt Newman 1st 200m New District record and 2nd in Long Jump. Alex Spray 1st 800m. Jack Avery 3rd 1500m. James Hardcastle and Mikey North Hurdle finalists.
